Project Overview
This Lehigh Acres homeowner needed to replace every exterior door in the home with impact-rated units to meet current Florida building code and satisfy their insurance company’s requirements. The existing doors were original to the home — non-impact, single-pane, and deteriorating at the seals.
Legacy replaced the front entry door, sliding glass door to the lanai, garage entry door, and laundry room exterior door — all with impact-rated units. Each door was measured custom, ordered to spec, and installed with proper flashing and sealant for Florida’s wind-driven rain. The homeowner’s insurance premium dropped after providing documentation of the upgrades.
